Lorsque les moines, en France, voulaient ass\u00e9cher les marais autour de leurs monast\u00e8res, ils plantaient des saules qui pompaient l\u2019humidit\u00e9.\u00a0Dans la Bible, le saule est un arbre protecteur pour les hommes droits (Is 44,4) ou les b\u00eates sauvages (Jb 40,22).\u00a0Les chevaux malades mangent les feuilles de saule. Pourquoi\u00a0? Parce qu\u2019il a des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9dicinales. Il a un peu peur de Dieu car il a d\u00e9couvert une partie de sa Toute-Puissance. Alors qu\u2019il part avec une lettre de ses chefs pour pers\u00e9cuter des chr\u00e9tiens, sur la route, il est terrass\u00e9 par une grande lumi\u00e8re et une voix lui dit \u00ab\u00a0Saul, pourquoi me pers\u00e9cutes-tu\u00a0?\u00a0\u00bb. Il comprend alors que lorsqu\u2019il pers\u00e9cute des chr\u00e9tiens, c\u2019est J\u00e9sus lui-m\u00eame qu\u2019il pers\u00e9cute.
